I've been studying Mark Libertone's flies lately. I wish I would have gotten a chance to speak to him. Anyway, he has Johan Klingberg's Starling and Hare on his website, so I wanted to tie one up.
I did leave out the gold wire on this one.
Hook: Mustad 98480 size 14
Thread: Black UNI
Hackle: Starling
Tail: Starling fibers
Body: Hare’s Mask spun on a Clark block with primrose silk

That looks a fly I'd love to use. Nicely tied!

Yes, look pretty good. Love the metallic shine in starling feathers.

Sweet looking combination. Quite a contrast between the feather & fur.
Looks like it would have been one of those nice crisp heavy green Starling skins worth sorting through a pile for.

Paul,
Very sweeeeet pattern indeed! You have brought two of my favorite ingredients together, Starling and Hare, into a wonderful mix that is bound to be devistating on trouts and sunfishes alike! The tail fibers of starling are really cool! The body looks neon and that's a real plus and the contrasting starling hackle just caps it off perfectly! Please keep them coming to us! Your talents make us envious and happy all at the same time!
Your pal,
Dougsden
