Hackle: Upper covert from Gambel's quail

Instead of feeding your trout with a sliver spoon you are feeding them
silver hooks with fancy hackle very well tied and photo'ed as well ...

What a nice example of both of these materials. The #20 waxed looks really nice, not unlike primrose waxed with dark wax. Another reallynice combination. Would have been a nice bwo pattern to try in Roscoe a couple weeks ago.

A delightful combination. That body looks to be near translucent, wonder what it might look like dressed upon a black hook..... ;)

That is a very nice spider. So is the other you posted.
Gambel's Quail may be a bit exotic for MD,
but not for NM or AZ. :) :)
