Nice!
Looks to be a pretty fair Stonefly nymph imitation....... one that would work well over here- I will take a dozen #12 and a dozen #14.
Did you twist the Pheasant fibres with the thread to make a rope? Very neat work.

Yes, the pheasant tail fibers were tied in by the tip, wound around the tying thread, then wrapped forward. The ostrich herl was reinforced with a thread dubbing loop. The fibers were stroked back with each wrap.
I can see the stonefly shape, now that you mention it. A few well placed rubber legs would complete the illusion. Good idea!

It'll be fine as long as it doesn't start chattering non-stop.
Very nice. That Ostrich herl just BREATHES.

Weren't Furbies the little critters in that movie that you weren't supposed to get wet
, or feed after midnight? Or am I thinking of another movie??
Anyway, great looking pattern. Can't see that NOT working well in the water.

Rodger - I think those were Gremlings. Great idea for a fly pattern.

Must be that cabin fever has got your juices flowing, Ray ... your creativity is busting out all over. This is most recent creation is remarkably buggy; I'm surprised it held still long enough for you to take this excellent photo.
