Very nice.
A few interesting materials there. Some not so easily controlled. You have done well to get everything looking just right. If I try for Seal thoraxes I tend to get a messy looking transition.
What is the intended target for your pattern? Looks like it might be a handy Steelhead pattern?

Golly that's pretty! Where did you get Canvasback Wing's? Did you harvest them yourself?
Wonderful job on the fly and photo. I've tried photographing flies against a black background, but failed miserably. Kudos.

I've had good luck with this type pattern on our Brookies and Landlocks.

I keep my eyes open on the net and grab them when the price is right. I forgot to mention that these are from a hen Canvasback, I really like anything that comes off of a hen, whether it be Duck, Pheasant, Quail, whatever, the feathers seem to be softer and easier to work with, they are also cheaper and easier to find.

Bear,
This is the kind of innovation that keeps the forum lively.
Imaginative use of materials, and great craftsmanship.

I can see this pattern working extremely well where I live.
