Classic pattern, or one of your making? (excuse my ignorance on most things Adams!)
Adams dry flies work ok here, maybe I could try this version, albeit maybe two sizes smaller.
Is the calf tail a shuck impersonation? Therefore this pattern is meant more as a "in the higher water" Pattern, fished as an emerger?

The tail could be seen as a trailing shuck. Hopefully, that's what the trout would take it as! Calf tail has often been used to make the post on Parachute Adams patterns. I thought I would incorporate it in a different way but still be using all the materials one would expect in an Adams!

Really like this one. As a young flyfisher, I fished an Adams a lot. When it quit floating, I kept on fishing & the fly still worked great. Such a winning color combo. So why not a wetfly? I like the calftail shuck.
