Can you explain how it's tied, especially how you handled the CDC,

Thank you, I just wrap a couple of turns of CDC, then the Coot in front of that,it's a real simple fly to tie.

Is the CDC tied in tip first, by the butt or put in a split thread?

Sorry, the CDC is tied in by the tip and wound toward the eye, same with the Coot.

Very nice fly.
Coot, similar properties, if slight colour variation to Pukeko...... I see a "variation" pattern in the future!

A very attractive pattern; the wispy double hackle gives it "helpless mayfly" kind of look.

Handsome fly Tim. I think the CDC will give the fly a enticing halo of air bubbles, when it is in the water.
