The P(urple)ant.

Tied this like a Stewart's Spider then built up the abdomen and coated it with hard head cement.

You're always thinking, Carl. Looks deadly; have you tried it out yet?

In spite of having way too many patterns already, this is one I just have to try. I'm a believer, easily fooled.

Now that's curious. I would have expected the purple silk to be darker with the coating. This should work for several reasons. I'd give it a go. Nice tie.

Hope the trout follow your lead. :D

Haven't fished it yet Bill, tied them up for this Saturday's tenkara outing, I'll give a report.

William - the cement is quite thick so it doesn't soak into the silk.

Very cool idea.
Nice hint on the thicker cement that builds up rather than soaks in.
