Hook: Kamasan B175 #14
Thread: Benecchi 12/0, black
Hackle: Hazel grouse wing covert
Rib: Fine orange copper wire
Tail: Coq de Leon barbs, light pardo
Abdomen: Argentinean hare, light olive
Thorax: Philoplume (taken from hackle feather)

The philoplume thorax gives a very nice effect. I like the coloration of the Hazel Grouse.
Edit - I keep coming back to look at this fly again. This fly just seems to have so much life to it. I need to see if I can work up a variation using Partridge, or some other grouse that I have on hand.

Very nice Hans. The philoplume does it for me as well. I'm sure it must really undulate in the current.
