Hackle: Greenfinch body feather
Tail: Pintail barbs, dyed olive
Abdomen: Narrow green plastic ribbon from oranges bag
Rib: Narrow green plastic ribbon from oranges bag, corded
Thorax: Pintail barbs, dyed olive - the butts of the tail material

For the comment, but more so for sponsoring the feather used in this and several other flies
The visitors to the Stockholm show were disappointed to find none available for sale at any of the retailers present. The greenfinch skin drew many admiring comments.

Wow, that's a naturally occuring colored hackle? that is really great. I dont think I've ever seen a Greenfinch feather used. Nicely done.

Hans, lovely fly I like it very much specially the hackle color, but have not found the Greenfinch feathers anywhere

swellcat - I spent several days restoring the links to Hans' photos last year when the path to his website changed. I did not want to loose the photos, to go along with the recipes. Unfortunately, that is not always possible with some of the older posts. If people have uploaded the file, instead of posting a link to an external host site, the file gets lost after a certain time (I think 3 years). That is one of the pluses of posting with photo links, instead of uploading files.
