The color combination I incorporated into this pattern will make clear sense.

Yes Xavier, that painting captures it well enough.

There are several seal substitutes, some natural and some synthetic. One of the better ones, and widely available, would be angora goat.

I like the claret/orange dubbing blend--I'm going to introduce that into some of my spey patterns. Fran's contribution to the last swap used a red "popper" feather too didn't it? It's really quite striking. You've put together an excellent fly.
