*chuckle* Interesting that Liam and I both considered a Bumble style pattern this evening. My version a bit less dour looking though 8-)

Hook: Partridge Ideal Nymph #12
Thread: Benecchi 12/0, black
Hackle: Whiting Popper pack, orange center
Body hackle: Whiting Brahma hen
Rib: Fine silver wire
Tail: Pheasant tail barbs
Body: Seal's fur, fiery brown (or substitute)

The weather must be nicer where you are, Hans! Great fly, I love the "sunset" orange.
My background adds to the dourness of mine :) Damn, I was just at an art supply tonite and I didn't think to get photo blue for the backing! Guess I've got an excuse to go back...

Went out to the freezer to get some buffalo ribs for dinner and found a large zip lock bag with black laced hen necks in yellow, orange, green and pink. Forgot I had them out there. The fly tying gods must be smiling on me. I'll be tying a few of thos, Hans.
