This was one of the patterns Mark Libertone demonstrated to me many years ago. I was immediately hooked on soft hackles.
Simple, yet elegant dressing. Nicely done Norman.

This one pattern; this one, is all I need to fish virtually any northern Maine water. So well done, Norm. I am never without a handful of these, ever.
(of course yours look better than mine...)

They work equally well in the waters of Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Washington and Oregon. I always have at least one row in my day box filled with these very flies.
Alas, like Mike, mine don't look nearly as good as Norm's.
