The Rock
Hook: Grip 14723BL (or Tiemco 206BL)
Thread: Benecchi 12/0, olive
Hackle: Hen, dyed cinnamon
Rib: Tying thread tag end, waxed and dusted sparsely with Argentinean hare, dyed amber
Body: Narrow hard green plastic ribbon taken from a tangerine bag, doubled, then twisted before wrapping

Nice "caddis" style softy, Hans. An interesting way to recycle
I'm starting to develop hook envy--those Grip hooks look great on this style of fly.

I think this pattern would make a killer Rhyacophilidae imitation. I wish I had this fly a couple summers ago when I was fishing in the Adirondacks. I found some crawling around on the rocks, but didn't have any imitations in my box to fish with. Here are a couple photos I took at the time.
