I have tied my starling and purple before with silk thread and hare's mask thorax. Today's variation will just be using Hareton.

First time posting a question here. I tried a couple of these spiders tonight using 2 strands of purple rayon. Both times, the rayon unraveled/frayed at the back end. I even tried a few wraps of the black thread behind the rayon before bringing the thread forward. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks, Anthony

Watch Charlie Craven. He has some good techniques that may help.
