PP&J's (Partridge-Peacock and Jamieson's)

I recently ordered multiple colors of Jamieson Spindrift wool yarn and some new hooks and had to give them a try.
I am loving how easy this yarn is to work with, and how nice the fuzzy body looks. These are all simple variations on the theme, using wool yarn instead of silk floss. Wool yarn makes a nice durable fishing fly, but may lack the translucency of silk. Not sure yet, how the wool will impact fish appeal.
Black and White Variation (teal hackle & black ostrich herl) - This is intended to be a "high vis" pattern, for use when water clarity is low (turbid). I like to fish black & white patterns in these conditions to increase odds that fish can see the pattern. I also carry all black and all white patterns, for when fishing is difficult.
Basic Recipe: PP&J's (Partridge-Peacock and Jamieson's)
Hook / Thread / Wool Yarn / Peacock Herl / Partridge Hackle (very color/size/hackle to suit your fancy)
The flies above were all tyed on Patridge M2's in size 10 Heavy Single TUE hooks. Gorgeous hooks. Beautiful curves and wickedly sharp. Unfortunately there are only ten hooks in a pack, making easy to burn thru them all in short order. Looks like I need to order more hooks already....
