Version 1:
Hook - Mustad 3906B/Size 12
Thread - 8/0 UNI-Thread (Cahill Yellow)
Tag/Underbody - UTC Holographic Tinsel (Medium/Silver)
Body - Lilith Chinese Silk (Pink)
Thoax - Muskrat Dubbing (Natural)
Hackle - Hungarian Partridge (Natural)
Version 2:
Hook - Mustad 3906B/Size 12
Thread - 8/0 UNI-Thread (Cahill Yellow)
Tag/Underbody - UTC Holographic Tinsel (Medium/Silver)
Body - Lilith Chinese Silk (Pink)
Thorax - Muskrat Dubbing (Natural) / picked out after fly is complete
Hackle - Hebert Miner Hen ("Sunny Dun")
I like version two better. The picked out muskrat dubbing just looks nicer to my eye.

Good looking flies, I would be testing them on a 3-fly cast with a third fly with just the tag, muskrat and hackle! Let the fish judge them.

good idea. Your third version sounds like a “guide fly” pattern. Probably the winner.

I think they will all be winners given different light and water conditions.

Ray,
Me too, version two! Each one of these patterns is exquisite Ray! I don't know how you do this! Your tying is up in the stratosphere and I'm just getting off the ground!
So good Friend! I love your Sunday afternoon tying spree's!

Or where they're placed on the cast. I'd bet the one on point would out fish the other, regardless of which one it was.
Nice looking flies, Ray.

Ray,
I am still bedazzled by your Pink Muskrats above! They are so exquisitely tied and look soooo good! Pink is such a killer color right next to orange and then purple! You are still thinking, creating, doing, and then fishing these classics! Keep it up Ray!
We are again covered up in pure white snow,
Dougsden

Apropos of nothing..., I'm sorry about the Bill's, Ray. I was pulling for them. I haven't watched a football game in years, but I watched that one.
