My hand is still broken, but I will be trying this pattern the first opportunity. Perhaps this week if I am lucky.

Bead version has a Brown bead and a Brahma hen collar.
Beadless version has Partridge for a collar.

The body is Danvilles light Olive 6/0 ribbed with Uni 220 Denier Dark Brown, corded. Covered in Solarez Hard UV cure.

They will both work at times, but I want to try them on some finicky Browns.

Yes- That’s the ticket.....usually, simple is best, and that is a great imitation.

Thanks ”letumgo”, the hackle on this is a little longer than usual, but then again I do like a little “controlled inconsistency” in my flies. Gives me more to choose from on the water.

Thank you for the welcoming, what an amazing forum, a true wealth of knowledge and sharing. Like stumbling upon a gold mine. I don’t like the Facebook-format for these kinds of things at all.

Thanks!
I’ve spent a good week in here already, before posting anything, following links and what not. Amazing place, completely in my taste.
