Nice pattern, Carl. I quite like your choice of hook- what make and model would that be?
Dana
Dick Walker’s wet ring eye hook from Gaelic Supreme. Nice classic look.
I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, and when I get home I discover they are just regular donuts.

Very nice- that is just about identical to the old Mustad 7974 that I have.
They’re real oddballs, I’ve never seen them anywhere else, except in a junk box I bought about 15 years ago....

Carl
Correction: the hook I mentioned is a Mustad 7947, NOT the 7974, which is the kirbed tapered down eye model. Heavy wire make it sink a bit quicker; the larger ring eye accommodates the tippet size I most often use, which is 3X.

Sorry about the "LYFT": during earlier days on the internet stepping on someone else's thread was considered "hijacking". However, this is more of a supplement, something to satisfy my fascination with hooks........I'm not really veering off in another direction, you're just giving me a Lyft

Thank you, no. I would desecrate them by using them as nymphs. They deserve better. ;)

I don't mind given you a LYFT! :)

I have a couple boxes of the 7947's. The shape is similar, but the Gaelic definitely has a more refined figure.

Thanks Carl
I’m sure you bought those hooks from the same guy I did. Over the course of a year I think I bought 3 million vintage Mustads..... but they go quick, I only wish I bought more😮

Carl,
This pattern is off the scale good! Simple, yet as we all know, deadly effective! The hook you used is equally awesome! Nice work Carl!

Fish when you can, not when you should! Anything short of this is just a disaster.
