I've been thinking, William, that this pattern might work pretty well when there are Slate Drakes (Isonychia) around. Although this species does pass from nymph to dun on shore more often than not, the literature suggests that some do hatch in the water. Also, some duns will inevitably fall into the water and "drown", and this pattern should serve well to imitate such critters.
Some of the same morons who throw their trash around in National parks also vote. That alone would explain the state of American politics. ~ John Gierach, "Still Life with Brook Trout"

Magnificent work here Bill. Your hard work is definitely paying off. It looks like you took it off the pages of an old book, tied by a master craftsman. Well done!!!!
