Plover Dun

Hook. Daiichi 1480 size 14.
Silk. Copper. Pearsalls chestnut #32.
Body. Copper lightly dubbed with water rat. I used pine squirrel.
Hackle. Golden Plover marginal covert feather.

I was a bit surprised when I read that you used chestnut #32. When from the photo, I would have guessed you might have used light olive. Did the dubbing and wax change the color that much?

Man, that is a deadly looking fly.

Must be the late afternoon light Ray even the plover looks slightly Olive to me.
