William,

Great post, and a very impressive series of flies. Well done, as always!

Best,

Thanks again. I had the pleasure of fishing the upper Breeches yesterday and did well with both the light and med twisted bodies. It was tough going during the day but as the day faded they became more active and just where they were supposed to be. I can't say they were especially choosey for a pattern, they took a Lil' Dorothy, a couple sulfur flymphs that Eric had given me just a couple hours previous (thanks) and a couple other small pale flymphs tied with plover and a seal body blend.

These twisted bodies are pretty durable with the herl twisted with the silk, but they did show wear in ways that a real flymph would not have. I can't complain. A chewed up fly is a jewel in my book.

William,
A fine string you started here. I like your innovative variations on classical flies. Glad to hear that you were able to test them yesterday. Thanks for the report.

They have that 'workhorse' look that getters have. I love twisted bodies.

Twisted... hmmm...
