Imitation of a specific aquatic insect...... or general searching/cover many bases pattern?

Hi Jeff. Just a general buggy searching pattern. I found a piece if vinyl D rib on the desk and didn't want to throw it away. :)

Rodger, I tie quite a few patterns based on the same principle. Better to put it to use than toss it in the bin. This one came out quite nice. As long as your not trying to back that barb out of your cheek. Man that looks painful. :D

Yeah, William, that's a real harpoon. I like the looks of those hooks, but don't know if I really want to put a fish through what looks to be a pretty harmful extraction. :shock: As a rule, I mash the barbs down on my hooks for fishing for just that reason.
