Hans, thanks for the extra pic. That explains a lot. They look very much like a variant hen cape I have around here, but the marking is very clean in those bordering feathers.

Ruard, if you're making fun of my poor memory, I'm an easy target. :D and in my defense, given your post using this feather, I would have still been struck those bodies. Just beautiful. No wonder I overlooked the hackle on your flies.

Thanks for the compliment of the body :) No need to defense yourself, I sometimes forget my own flies so the forum is a good database for me and my flies.
