I think he would have liked flymph fishing.

Man, that’s beautiful Carl. Love the dubbing blend. Are the red, gold and blue fibers seal?

Carl,
Your Atherton's Dark Flymph above is stunning! Ray is right! The combination of materials is tops and your style of tying is equally awesome! I always have appreciated that!
This is weird! I am re-reading Mike Valla's epic "The Founding Flies" and have just finished Chapter 9 about Jack Atherton! Then, I turn on my laptop and find your pattern! Karma, coincidence, strange fate? I dunno but, I like what I see in this special creation! Have you had a chance to dunk them?
In Mikes writings, we discover that Jack was an "impressionistic" artist and that most of his patterns reflect this concept! Yes Carl, you are so very right in stating that Jack would have loved Flymphs and Flymphing not only for this reason but many others as well! Your offering is a grand example of combining both his nymph and your flymph skills and it is most masterfully done! Great Job! Please do the light nymph (flymph) #2 next!

Fish when you can, not when you should! Anything short of this is just a disaster.

Thanks, guys. Boy Doug, you sure know how to polish a "like". :D Atherton had some great stuff. Too bad he left so soon. I will try some Light nymphs too. Thanks.
