“Eurasian bloa”

Post by NightWatchman » Thu Feb 18, 2021 10:59 pm

Hook. ........ Hanak 100. Sz 18
Thread. ........ Pearsall’s gossamer primrose
Body. ........ Water Rat or sub. touch dubbed on thread and spun
Hackle. ......... Eurasian Collard dove

*** With last weekend’s discussion with John Shaner I felt that I needed to start tying some of
these north country spiders in some small sizes. There is quite a difference in the ability in handling materials
for a sz 16 as opposed to a sz 18. My fingers seemed to grow much larger in size. Regardless it was fun and
i need to continue increasing my sz 18 inv. The dove feathers that Lou “Variant” sent me handle very well and
wrap nicely.

No zen leecher but right now I’m dealing with a broken arm so I’m shifting quite a bit.

I was looking at the angle on the "ribbing" and wasn't sure which hand you were winding with. Tying with a broken arm must be... well....interesting to say the least.
