Snipe...or Snipe Sub

My copy of A Guide to North Country Flies just completed its swim across the Atlantic and its trek across the US. But I'm stuck. Where's a source for snipe or snipe sub in the US? Blue Ribbon Flies says Snipe Sub is "not orderable"; any other recommendations?

Thanks,
Jason

Here is a link to Cookshill Fly Tying. They list snipe on their website.

You may also want to contact Jim Slattery (see link below). He may be able to help you out, or at least point you in the right direction.

About half the Snipe and Purples currently in my fly box are actually snipe; the rest are starling. I can't tell which is which, and neither can the fish.
Or did you have another application in mind for snipe?
