dubbing "Grinder"

Since shortly after I started tying, I have wanted an electric, cordless coffee grinder to process dubbing. Pinch and pull works, but I'm a hi-tek red-nek. I wanted battery powered so I wouldn't have to pull out an extension cord every time I wanted to use it. I'm also not going to pay a lot for it, either. (Cheap, hi-tech redneck, lol)
I've looked at garage sales, Goodwill, pretty much everywhere but craig's list.
I was tooling around in Amazon a while ago and found this:
It's a
Tobacco Grinder. At least that's what they call it.
Uses 3 AAA batteries, which I keep for my tying light anyway, and only costs about 12 bucks. There are even some that are cheaper. Ohhhhh! Shiney!
Now to wait until after Santy Closs gets done so I can get the stuff I REALLY wanted. (SSSSHHHHH!)

OK, I've used mine a couple of times. Works like a charm, as long as you keep the staple short. Anything longer than say 1/2 inch tends to want to spin into a skein, especially for super-soft underfur like rabbit.
It's fun to play with, too! Right now I have about a 1" diameter ball of: hare's ear\ice dub UV tan\SLF bug dub red/tan/olive\rabbit hide in various colors\.....
I think I'm going to keep this as a base for any medium tan dubbing.

OH! PS! It tends to want to go all static electricity on me, so I took a piece of a dryer sheet and rubbed the receptacle with it. Works real well!

I ordered it. I got it. I don't like it. All the hair gets spun around the shaft below the tines. what am I doing wrong.

I had to cut all of the material to about 1/4 inch long. I had it get wrapped around the shaft when I first started playing with it, but I had some rabbit guard hairs in there that were probably 3/4 inch long. That was what got wrapped up. Once I cut everything smaller, it worked real well.
