Tying slimeless wets.

When you tie those beautiful, delicate flies you don't want them to get slimed by the fish - do you?

Am I kidding - or what?

dd,

My flies never look better than when slimed up - by fish, not drool, that is 8-)

That surely must be in the eye of the beholder!

When tying as many flies that you do, is it really possible to slime all of them - the proper way, I mean?

(Every time I tie a fly I feel sorry for the fish and think I ought to have some kind of penalty for un-sportsmanlike conduct since the fish will not stand a chance. When actually fishing, my confidence is not on the same level).
