I do agree with you about fish taking a soft-hackle fly much more deeply than a dry or streamer or nymph! Going barbless makes the job so much easier! Very little tissue damage too! If you look in my boxes, you can tell the patterns that have been fished previous! Aside from having that slimmed look about them, they are usually floating all around box unhooked and running free!
