The folks on this forum have shared so much with me. This fly is the result of some of that sharing. NedZeppelen sent me a beautiful supply of tups dubbing. I used that as the thorax on this fly. Variant loaned me a beautiful book, 'Magie Immerse' by Pablo Bertacchini.(its all in Italian). In that book was a fly called the "snow fly". I used that as inspiration for this guy. Its tied with YLI silk, the body is turkey herl, the rib is xs silver tinsel, tups thorax, and a dun hen hackle. The one on the left is the before, the one on the right is after that fly was eaten by about 20 trout on the Crooked River yesterday... It was the only fly I fished all day... it would have caught 20 more if the fish had cooperated...thanks for sharing you guys.

Ive decided to delay the surgery and see if I can manage until winter.. so might as well fish...

While I'm at it, I tied up La Mosca Della Neve di Graziano Magrini.... one of a number of beautiful flies illustrated in Bertacchini's book... Hopefully, my translation from the Italian was close on the fly.

That's it, Roadkill... i wish I could translate the entire book...its a beautiful book, and there is no English edition...I may have to get Variant to read it to me...
