Hatch Guide - Roscoe New York (Catskill Region)

Post by letumgo » Sat Jan 27, 2018 10:36 pm

I recently came across a great summary of the various insect hatches on Joe Fox (Dette Flies) website. Last weekend, I took some time to converted the information into a visual chart which I could save to my phone and iPad as a reference.

Great job, Ray, and thanks to Joe for his permission to post it.

That's the one I used to tie up flies for this past Fall trip. I have it saved on my phone as well.
I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, and when I get home I discover they are just regular donuts.

Ray,
Awesome dude! It is amazing how many varieties of insects there are in that region! I like the way you have it laid out! Thanks Joe and you too Ray!

Doug,

The chart makes it easy to see why mid-May to the end of July is prime fishing. Peak time for many hatches.
