Hope there is less wind. One wild fire already. Went from 100 acres to 3000 in less than 12 hours. Visibilty at my house is less than a mile due to the smoke.

I didnt take the camera out of my pack today.

Those are really good looking flies, Wayne. Hope the fire stays away from your place.

Had a great day this morning. I took the pup (8 Months)out for his first trip. The wind stayed away, but man did the Memorial Day crowds start at about 8:30 AM I fished the Gunnison River as it exits the Black Canyon and converges with the N. Fork of the Gunnison at Pleasure Park

I caught 10 in a couple hours fishing. 12 to 14 inch Browns, and 14 to 16 inch Bows. They were still hitting the Caddis Pupa pictured above along with the Hot Yellow Partridge and Peacock.

It was difficult to fish as I had to keep one eye on the pup (Odie). All in all he did very well. He swam out to me a few times and I had to carry him back to the shore.

Heres some pics Hank.

DUBBIN, Howdy;

Thanks for the pix. Been in the high 40's mid 50's overcast, scattered
rain showers (and some sleet earlier), so, the pix are great !!!
Looks as if you have a new fishin' bud... looks like a Chihuahua crossed with a Pug (?).

Nice report and photos. Looks like the big day out plum tuckered out your little friend. :) Least when he swims out to you he will cause a lot less bow wave than my big GWP! :x
Wind is something we do well here. Something to do with being narrow and mountainous. Thats one of the main reasons you seldom see a fly rod rated for less than #5-6 weight being used here.
