If you have any evidence then I will take your word for it. You have not presented any. I don't think you can.
Believing something is not evidence. Also, in order to use any purported relationship of UV factors to artificial flies, you would need to know what that relationship is. This is at the present time impossible, because there is no known relationship.
What you and Mr.Curry have presented here is pure speculation. There is nothing at all wrong with that, as long as it is presented as speculation. This particular book is being presented as a "Scientific Breakthrough" an "Essential part of the angler's armory", etc etc etc. It is nothing of the kind. It is pure speculation without any evidence at all.
I have asked Mr.Curry repeatedly to provide examples of how his contentions might be used to design a successful artificial fly. He has consistently prevaricated and failed to answer a single question, resorting to abuse instead.
There may well be a connection, indeed I spent quite a bit of time trying to find one myself, but at the moment if there is a connection IT IS NOT KNOWN.
It is extremely difficult to discuss speculation, it does not have to have any relation at all to reality. That is why it is speculation.
I have done my level and honest best to present my views on this matter because I was specifically asked to do so. I see no point in any further discussion unless somebody actually comes up with some evidence.
