I guess that means you'll now be leaving the Flymph Forum for the Perdigon Forum?

John - Have you watched the supplemental videos yet? They are all very well done. Iā€™m looking forward to putting the leader construction/treatment techniques into action.

Just got my signed copy last week. I haven't watched any of the videos yet, but I'm half way thru the book. Can't wait to get on the stream and try out some of the techniques. I really haven't done much nymph fishing, and only 3 years experience with spiders, but I'm hooked. Very interesting and extremely informative read. I'm sure I will be referring back to it regularly.

Actually with the pandemic, snow and cold I am hunkered down in my Winter absorbing sponge mode. I have read 2 books in the past week burning the late night candle. Now on my third book with another book coming thanks to Variant.

John
Really, porno books really don't have much content, so I've been told.

Paul Gaskell told me in his videos he is using Marryat's Tactical Pro Nymph Special, 10ft 3 weight.

In the reviews the euro rods under $300 seem to have more trouble feeling your small nymph pattern ticking along the bottom structure of the stream.

In the videos they warn fly fishermen to be careful using these fly rods. The euro rods have a very sensitive tip section that can break easily if man handled to aggressively, especially when playing a big trout.

I have the Marryat 10 ft 3wt from Dette's a very nice rod at a reasonable price.

preston innovations sells one too in europe but I have found facsimiles on Amazon but have to buy other junk with them... maybe I'll find one eventually... I like the idea of being able to tie consistent loops for droppers as John demonstrates on their video.
