Good on ya, Ron.

I thought of bidding, but I have it, and at somewhere between 800 and 1,000 books on trout fishing I need to cut back.

Then, there are the food books and the books on guns, hunting and bird dogs.

I have the same addiction Fishing, guns and food, not necessarily in that order, depending on the season. I either need a new book case or two, or a 12 step program.

No, no; no 12 step program necessary. Overindulge! Wallow around in your afflictions until your fingers get all pruny with the juices of a life well spent! Congrats on the book! I got the same edition from Ken Callahan a few years back but I think I paid $65 for it. Maybe it was $45...

My $22 copy of "The Book" arrived today. I don't think it's ever been read. There is some slight damage to the paper cover, but the spine is still stiff, as if it's never been opened. Seems like someone bought it and stuck it on a shelf. It's in much better shape than my $50 copy.

Ron,

My purchase arrived on Friday. Certainly not "unread" like your recent arrival, but money well spent. Pages are unmarked; dust jacket has some staining. A nice reading/reference copy. It will make a good gift for someone who doesn't have their own copy. Only 11 months until Christmas and hopefully a Secret Santa Swap!
