I was blessed with people giving me speculum feathers to tie the Butcher. I noticed these feathers are softer than your duck quills, so it took me some practice to get the wings right, and I'm still not sure. But that's where you all come in! And don't be afraid to tear me up. I respect truth over telling me what I want to hear.

I don't think I have enough scotch for the next eleven.
Thank you very much for the encouragement. I plan on tying as many winged flies as I can this year just because I love the looks of them and the tradition. Plus the challenge.
