Trolling Streamer
Hook - Mustad 9575. size 2-10
Thread - Black
Ribbing - Medium flat gold tinsel
Body - Yellow floss
Throat - Red hackle fibers (Schlappen)
Wing - White bucktail, then yellow bucktail (both sparse), then topped with five or six strands of peacock herl
REMARKS: This pattern was rediscovered by Rodney Flagg in an old Outdoor Life magazine. It has proven to be one of his most successful streamers. It is also tied in tandem as a trolling streamer.

Wonderful fly, Norm. I keep coming back again and again to look at it. It looks so much like a baby brook trout, or possibly what's called a yellow perch here. I'll bet that would get slammed in a beaver pond or a local lake. Beautifully dressed.

The herl overwing is phenomenal. Some of the nicest herl I’ve seen.
I’d still fish this piece of art, but probably with hesitation. Such a beautiful dressing.
