Schmidt's Drymerger Callibaetis (variation)
Wanted to get a more prominent speckled wing, so I used guinea instead of partridge.
hook - Dai Riki 305 #14
thread - MFC 8/0 sand
tail - grizzly hackle fibers
abdomen - goose biot
underwing/wingpad - CDC dark dun
thorax - hare's ear dubbing
overwing - guinea

Thanks. It's just a wild goose (Canada) primary I found while taking a walk the other day; biots have a well-defined edge

Nice one, Scott. I do like all the contrast in this entire pattern. I don't think I've ever encountered a Callibeatis hatch, but I hope to. This looks like a nice match.

Beautiful emerger, Scott. Brilliant idea. The guinea hen really does resemble calibaetis wings. Just the kind of creative tie I'd hoped to see here.
