Scott - Are you finding these Sherbrook patterns in a book? If so, could you post the book title?
Very interesting pattern. I need to give this a try. I am very curious to see how it behaves on the water, and what it looks like when it gets pulled under the surface. It seems like the aftershaft feathers would behave sort of like CDC. I am wondering if it will form an silvery air bubble around the body when it gets pulled under (ala diving caddis imitation).
Brilliant tutorial. You need to seriously think about doing a book, or at least approaching a magazine to publish tying articles. Good stuff!

Ray,
Thanks. Saw a picture of it on Flytyingforum.com
Did a bit of interweb searching and found the author, who's real name is Geert Werbrouk, posted a bit more info on this fly, and lots of other ones, on classicflytying.com Worth checking out.
Regards,
Scott

Backtracking on Sherbrook's "Copper & Grouse" pattern referenced in Scott's previous post, I found it on a Flytyingforum page that also shows many of his other ties/patterns. Imaginative and prolific, with obvious tying skills.

A new Kindle book entitled "Creative Wet Flies by Geert Werbrouk" has been just released. Written by Dale Darling and Geert this book shows many of the creative wet flies Geert has tied.
Disclaimer: I know and have fished with both of the individuals involved with this book. I have no financial interest in the book.
