Wire / Dubbing Storage
Found these at JoAnn's Fabric Store some time ago. The tubes came in a rectangular clear plastic box for about $7. I drilled a small hole in the side for the wire, and also use a bunch to keep most used dubbing on the bench. Contents are easy to see, and easy to label.

Great idea! Looks perfect for a travel tying kit.

Excellent, looks likes a replacement for film canisters that I was using for the same thing but have a lot of trouble getting hold off now.

Very neat idea.
Might work for floss as well if the hole in the side was well smoothed to stop any catches and fraying.

Hi Jeff. Yes, I think if you could drill a larger hole and put a small rubber grommet in it, it should work for wire, floss, most anything.
I'm looking for my Dremmel tool now. I'd venture out to find the right size grommet now, but it's REALLY snowing hard. We are supposed to get another 10-12 inches on top of the 10 inches we got over the past couple of days. The low temperature tomorrow night is supposed to be minus 17F. Looks like a couple of days playing at the vise.

Ruard, yes, that's the one. If I remember correctly, there were two sizes of tubes. Mine are about 2 inches tall, and the others were about half that. )I don't think the shorter ones will accommodate
normal spools, but would be fine for dubbing)

Neat idea for sure. I store a lot of my wire in plastic tubes that came with my travel bag. Problem is you have to dump out 5 to get down to the one you always want. I bet I can drill a small holes in the sides of the tube and have access to all of them.
I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, and when I get home I discover they are just regular donuts.
