Heavily hackled, and heavily dressed.

More attractors for my nymphing situations.

These types of over dressed nymphs have really impressed me this year.

Are you using a dubbing loop for the spiky bodies? What’s your technique?

What size has been most effective for you?

I am just waxing the thread and then a combination between touch dubbing and an extremely loose dubbing noodle. After I finish the fly I brush the excess off with a tooth brush.

Some of the patterns I rib with Amber copper wire, and some I dont.

Size 16 and 14 have been the sizes I use.

I am torn. I love Wayne's patterns, and as a tier, I tend to overdress as a rule, so this pattern rocks my world. But then, you have Alan's incredible, sparsely dressed, sublime, creations; and I try to emulate his distinct Zen-ness into my own tying (I usually fail). The thing is, they all catch fish. If imitation be the sincerest form of flattery..., you guys have a fan in me.

Love the pattern, Wayne!

Wayne,
These are the ones that catch fish! You have taken fuzzy to a new and exciting level! I think you have already found this out as you mentioned above!
Excellent, excellent tying! I wish I could be there at your elbow to learn how to drive them!
