Beaded SH's

Post by DUBBN » Fri May 01, 2020 3:49 pm

I nymphed from sun up till 11:00 AM. Hooked and landed some very large Bows on small baetis nymphs. Working my way back I had immense fun swinging that silly Partridge and Yellow. I did well with the Gray version as well. The river will be blown out with snow melt soon. I am happy I got a little SH fix!

Wayne, that's a really good fly. It must be good, it's stuck in a trout's mouth. Is that a metal, glass or plastic bead?

Thanks Ron. These are glass beads. Normally I just slide the bead up the tippet then tie the fly on.
For some reason I am on a bead kick at the bench.

Thanks, Wayne. I am finding myself on that slippery slope as well. I've even done a few with bead chain.

I loved the yellow version, but the grey version is even better! Superb... ;)

The trout pics are icing on the cake!

Yeah, I'm going to need a fly box just for the flies Wayne has come up with. Already have one for Ray's flies.
