Size 20 Biot Emerger.

Very nice to both fish and fly. That would work well on a spring creek I used to fish in Eastern WA. If you didn't fish size 20 or smaller, you went without a fish. When a small fish is 15 inches and a large one in the 25 to 30 inch range, blanking is something you didn't want to do.

Thanks Ron and Ray. This brown was the largest of 7 trout that were all over 22 inches. Bows and Browns.

Silly question. Is this a special breed of brown trout? The coloration looks like it would be a localized species of trout. At first I was wondering if this was a golden trout.

Just Brown trout. Here is the first one of the morning. About 10 inches.

Gosh, they’re pretty. Love the colorful spots on the fin.
