Here is my tie of the Rainbow Warrior nymph created by Lance Egan.

I came across this fly after reading about Lance in a recent copy of Northwest Fly Fishing and going to his website. I find it similar to the Lightning Bug which has worked well for me on many waters.

Very fishy! (
sincere compliment)
I like the way you trimmed the wing case. I’m gonna steal that idea.
Thanks Bill.

Carl,
I can't resist the Darkside.
The author of the article about Egan watched him pull over 60 fish out of his assigned beat on the Crooked in 3 hours when he was qualifying for the US Flyfishing Team.
That weakened my will and I have to try some of his creations.
I will fish off both variations of the Rainbow Warrior and Lightning Bug on the Crooked this year.

Have fun catching all those whitefish!
Actually, I'd take some clean freshwater whitefish just about now.
