Scott,
That is one big, bold statement of fly! I really like the overall profile and the beauty and lights of the Ice Dubbing! This pattern should attract some attention! It is a nice alternative (much simpler to tie) to the traditional Wooly Bugger! I need to restock my "smallmouth fly box" and your pattern is a good place to start! I can't wait to imitate them and then field test them!

And....I forgot to mention, the waters that you have pictured there look terrific! Are they "Home Waters"?

Doug,
That one is terrific (in the spring after ice-out) and it's about 200 miles away (we spend 5-6 months in Whitefish, MT), which almost counts as home water there.
