That's really nice, Scott. Have you tried spinning the Ice Dub on a Clark block?

Thanks. I have used a dubbing loop for Ice Dub; the stuff can be a real PITA to deal with.

Scott

I know it is unruly, and slippery too. Just curious about the block; I've not tried Ice Dub in it (yet).

Question - How many wraps of weight are you using in the under body? It looks like you are wrapping back to slightly beyond the midpoint of the shank. I just want to match your proportions when I sit down to tye some of these fishy nymphs.

Very nice!

Ray,

I covered the front 40% of the shank with non-tox and jammed it inside the bead

Scott,
As always, your tying and proportions and the overall "look" of the fly are wonderful! I agree with you and Bill about how hard Ice Dubbing is to work with but you have mastered it quite well! Look at the end result. Your nymph is full of lights! Your color selection catches my eye as well! Out of the dubbing dispenser that I bought several years ago (and the various packs bought to fill in), Golden Brown is one of my favorites!
Your tying is so very good,
Doug
