Stovepipe Nymph

Not a whole lot of info on this pattern, but apparently an Oregon favorite from years past. Shares a bit of DNA with the Stayner Ducktail, although this was used more in flowing water.


hook - Mustad 9671 #6
thread - Danville 6/0 orange
underbody - non-tox .025 (optional)
tail - golden pheasant tippets
body - chenille olive
hackle - mottled hen back
wing - teal flank

Interesting use of materials here. That Teal wing is set pretty nice Scott. Nice one.

That would also look really good (but be less durable) with a peacock herl body. Nice find, Scott.
