Last year Bill (tie2fish), shared a Stone pattern on this forum. I used it with great success last year, so I tyed a few more up in size 8 for this year. Fished on 1x or 2x I dont lose many of these.
Brown and Copper
I even did a Purple. Terrible color. I don't know why I torture my self trying it.

Oh man, these look great! I have a few of these in my fly box, but need to add some more. Thanks for the reminder.
How did you form the dorsal line? What material did you use? I love the segmentation.
Can you list the make and model hook you used? How long are the legs. I like the length. That should give them lots of movement.

Thanks Ray.
The hook is a size 8 C67S Mustad. Short, stout curved hook.
The Copper lateral line is Copper Mylar, with Copper/Brown wire ribbed over it.
The Purple lateral line is Holographic tinsel, with Black wire ribbed over it.
They did a great job for me last year. Bill built a winner with these.

Thanks Wayne. I have a pack of these hooks, somewhere on my tying desk buried under a bunch of envelopes from the swap. I'll have to dig them out after the swap and tye some more up for this spring.

I am pleased that these worked well enough, Wayne, that you are tying more. Your versions are really tasty-looking morsels according to my fish-eye view
