This is beautifully conceived and nicely proportioned.

Wayne - Once again, I am reminded why I am such a fan of your flies. They all have that "I'd fish that in a second!" quality to them. Lovely pattern, and I love the curved profile.

In a size #14, that looks like it could cover a lot of natural insect variations. Stonefly was my first glance impression, but it could pass muster for a few things- therefore a good fly to be fishing.
Nice work.

Stonefly? Gears are smoking in my brain Jeff. I may take this pattern, drop a size, add black through out, and see what I come up with.

It is screaming STONEFLY for me.
Well done Dubbn.

I agree with Jeff and Ruard -- it looks like a great golden stone imitation.

It might be big enough to represent a small Stone. It will get fished this Spring. so for now, I am treating it as an attractor. (Green Drake, Caddis, and Stone) Thank you for the compliments.

Wayne - I have high hopes for this pattern. I love the profile, extended thread tag, and general buggyness of this pattern. This variation looks like a keeper.

I would fish that in a #8-10 for steelhead.
