Great stuff Wayne!!! I'd fish those in a heartbeat! I love the elongated legs. I imagine these would be especially lively.

More fishy stuff from the nymph master. Good as always, Wayne.

DUBBN, Howdy;
Beautiful lookin' bugs ... 1 thing I noticed is you have an
image of yourself aiming the camera at the flies. Might want to ensure
those are gone when you fish them ... too much of your "handsomeness"
might scare the trouts away.

Thanks folks. On a normal year these variations are only used in high murky water. For some reason, they are still working with the lower clear water of Summer. I tyed a few with beads. They work too. The rubber legs are cut a tad long. If I feel the legs are counter productive, I will trim them down on the river. For me, it is easier to trim down the legs on the river, then make them longer. Kinda like tails on my flymphs.

Good looking stuff. I like the first (I assume #1 and #2 are the same, and #3 is the same as #4?) better. It looks a rib over copper rather than a copper rib over dubbing? Is that correct? What's the rib?

Hi Bob. The rib over the Copper Mylar is Black UTC wire (BR) doubled then wrapped forward. I like the looks of the rib over the copper as well. Trouble is the fish like them both. I still can not figure out why the trout are liking these patterns so late in the Summer. Oh well.

I think Carl and I are chasing the same bugs. Little Winter Stones or immature Giant Stone Nymphs.

See if these work for my wife and I tomorrow.
